Unit helps tech companies build financial services into their products: deposits, cards, payments, lending, and more. We do this by building a rich API layer on top of partner banks and assuming a range of responsibilities as a program manager.

This Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) explains the ways that Unit Finance, Inc. (“Unit”, “we”, “our”, and “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you in connection with:

  • Your access to or use of Unit's website, products, or services, which includes our Onboarding Process service described below (collectively, the “Services”); and
  • Any other information we collect when you interact with us, except as outlined in the paragraph below.

Unit's “Onboarding Process” is a technology service provided to its Clients and banking partners designed to assist them in collecting information from you to allow them to qualify you for, or permit you to gain access to, their products and services.

Please note that this Notice does not apply to the information we collect about you in relation to the provision of a financial product or service by one of Unit's banking partners or your relationship with one of Unit's Clients. If you have received a financial product or service through one of our partner banks or are a customer of one of our Clients, please refer to our End User Privacy Policy.

Data Collection and Use

The types of information we collect may include personal identifiers (e.g., full name, email address, mailing address, phone number, etc.), professional information (e.g., company name, EIN, title), and any other information you choose to provide.

Information we collect when you use our Services. When you use our Services, we collect certain information about you, including your IP address, the domain name of your internet service provider, the Service features you use and the time of your use, your device information (e.g., device model and operating system version), and aggregated information that cannot be used to specifically identify you when you use the Service.

Information we collect from other sources. We may also collect information about you from other sources. For example, we may collect information from other members of your company and from vendors that help us identify new customers, including identifiers, such as your name, email address, and social media profile URL. If you access or use the Onboarding Process through one of our Clients, we may collect personal information or professional information that you have already provided to that Client or their respective banking partner; Unit is acting as a service provider to these Clients and banking partners when it collects this information about you from them.
